About Jonathan Albutt

Master Stonemason

Jonathan started his career in 1984 at Weymouth college in Dorset.

He completed a two year full time course in architectural and monumental masonry achieving the qualification of Advanced Craft In City And Guilds.

During his time at college he made regular trips back home to Yorkshire where he obtained work experience with a very experienced local stonemason working on a variety of projects.

In 1989 Jonathan became self-employed and has subsequently undertaken a wide variety of projects, ranging from bespoke commision sculptures and carvings, war memorial renovation and maintenance, through to providing risk assessment and method statements to respective organisations.

Stone Sculpture

With such a huge wealth of talent, experience and knowledge, Jonathan leaves traditional stonemasons behind with the extensive scope of work that he can undertake, see the Gallery to see a small selection of some of the work he has undertaken.

In 2004 after substantial growth Jonathan formed his limited company, with his skill sets in such high demand he was approached and offered a teaching post at a local college.
